MLGMA NextGen Fall 2015 Training

The NextGen Committee hosted it’s Fall Training on Friday, November 6, 2015 in Lansing. Approximately 35 participants attended and the event was a success. This year's topics were building department, fire code and zoning administration. Below are some photos of the event. The cost of the event (food, etc.) was covered by sponsorship. Special thanks to Brad Barrett, James Krizan and Aaron Desentz for helping organize the event.

MLGMA NextGen Fall Training: Introduction to the Building Department, Fire Code and Zoning Administration

Please REGISTER and join the NextGen Committee on Friday, November 6, 2015 in Lansing for the annual Fall Training. This year's topic will be building department, fire code and zoning administration. The event will take place at the Michigan Municipal League located at 208 North Capitol Ave., Lansing, Michigan 48933. Seating is limited so only register if you plan on attending. Current MLGMA members and public administration students/faculty are invited to attend.

May 29, 2015 Event: Managing Media During a Crisis

We invite you to attend, "Managing Media during a Crisis" on Friday, May 29th from 10:00 am- 4:00 pm at 208 N. Capitol Ave, Lansing, MI 48933." We will have a wide array of experts who have experienced firsthand how to deal  with the media under pressure resulting from a crisis. They will share strategies on how to tactfully handle this unique situation.

2015 NextGen Winter Conference Dinner

Special thanks to all of the Students and MLGMA members who attended the 2015 NextGen Winter Conference Dinner in Novi, Michigan. The dinner was an excellent opportunity for attendees from across the State to share ideas and make new connections. This Spring the NextGen Committee will be hosting a professional development event on Public Relations.
