MLGMA NextGen Student Mixers A Success


Recently the NextGen group held a successful social networking event for students and professionals. The purpose of the event was to introduce students to professionals and to explain the career opportunities available in local government. There were two events held in Auburn Hills and Grand Rapids. If you know of any students looking for internships or who are interested in local government please encourage them to sign up for MLGMA NextGen.

MLGMA NextGen Presents, "Mastering the Executive Search Process"


Join MLGMA NextGen and MML on May 18, 2012 from 10am - 5:30pm for "Mastering the Executive Search Process." Learn from the experiences of your peers and MML Search Executives and Staff as they describe to you the essential components of a strong job application, what to do if you are selected as a finalist, how to deal with the discouragement of not being selected, tough search processes, and much more. Following the formal program, we will be hosting an Search Executive Meet and Greet and Networking Mixer. Each interested individual (54 Max) will get an opportunity to meet with a Search Executive one-on-one for five (5) minutes. This event is FREE. Lunch and light refreshments in the afternoon will be provided. This event is only open to MLGMA or NextGen members.
